hey soul sister is interesting with the weird lyrics. i debated this with a friend of mine in highschool (ages ago) i thought it was weird but she explained it as the awkward lyrics are intentionally awkward because the guy in the song (train dude) views himself as as an awkward ungainly guy in comparison to this girl he views as sweet and perfect but he doesn't know how to express that in a way that isn't awkward because he IS awkward. in his eyes she is perfect but he doesn't have the words to express it properly. maybe other socially awkward people get this as well lol.
